Volunteers and trail sponsors have made a huge impact on the trails this spring. Because of this effort Mahoney’s, Lodgepole, and Cow Creek were all opened. Exceeding our expectations, we are now working on Greenhorn proper and Imperial. With only a few more work sessions to go, there is a decent chance we can get these additional trails in good shape. Northwest Youth Corps will be here to work on trails in late June. If all goes well, NYC compliment our work by hitting the last few problem spots and BAM–we’ll have Greenhorn/Imperial open!
So, here are the last trail session until fall.
Monday, June 2, 5:30 pm Greenhorn Trailhead. Biking to Imperial and pulling weeds at trailhead
Saturday, June 7, 9am-1pm Adam’s Gulch Trailhead. Biking to Forbidden Fruit, pulling weeds at trailhead, and sign installation.
Monday, June 9, 5:30 pm Greenhorn Trailhead. Biking to Imperial.
Monday, June 16, 5:30 pm Greenhorn Trailhead. Biking to Imperial.
We realize that southbound traffic at 5pm is slow, so come when you can. Days are long and we can work later as needed. Also, we should be easy to find.
A HUGE thank you to all of the super generous businesses that helped to support trail work: CK’s Real Food, Wiseguy’s, Sturtevants, Sfingi Group, Backwoods, Elephant’s Perch, WrapCity, Sun Valley Trekking, Club Ride, Arbor Care, and Sawtooth Brewery.
